The OC. As in... Oregon Coast. :)

Kylie and I went on a quick weekend trip to the Oregon Coast with my mom and Trevor.

We had a blast. We ate lots of good food, went running/walking on the beach, played in the sand, road bikes on the beach, and basically just enjoyed watching Kylie be her crazy self

This is a random blooming artichoke we found on a walk :)
I can't handle the curled toes... haha!

Kylie LOVED the water. The ice cold temperature didn't seem to bother her.

See?! Crazy.

Thanks for the awesome trip!!

July.

July was a CRAZY month!

We started the whirlwind by driving to Lake Cocolalla, Idaho to spend the 4th with Dallin's family at the cabin. The weather was incredible. We enjoyed multiple nights of fireworks, went boating, roasted s'mores, and road around on the four wheeler. It had been 2 years since Dallin and I were at the cabin during the summer... we missed it terribly.

just eating some cheese...
Eliza wanted a picture of our patriotic nails and toes :)

Tal was thrilled about having a fire...

Dallin had to return to work the Sunday after the 4th, but Kylie and I decided to stay in Kennewick and party with my family for a week. It was awesome.

Kylie liked helping Grandma vacuum

I was able to work out almost every day whether it was running, doing yoga, lifting or playing tennis; thanks to Mom and Danielle for watching Kylie!! We also swam in Grandma Miskho's pool every day. Kylie absolutely LOVES the water. The water was 90 degrees the first few days, (a little too warm for me...) but Kylie didn't seem to mind. :)

We also visited Danielle multiple times at her new job at Fresh Picks, and enjoyed some delicious smoothies. YUMMY! The week flew by, and pretty soon it was time for the Hague Family Reunion!!!

Kylie and I drove to Bear Lake, Utah, with Dallin's parents as well as Lori, Eliza and Talia. That was a long time to be in the car... especially since Kylie did not want to sleep. We made it without too many breakdowns and were thrilled to be out of the car for a week. :)

(These pictures are from a pit stop in Logan...)

Everyone missed Dallin, but it wasn't going to stop us from having a blast. :P I had a great time getting to know everyone a little bit better, I felt like I had been a part of the family for a long time.

During the week we played volleyball (our team won... holla!!!) had a basketball tournament, went on a 25 mile bike ride, ate shakes, had the Hague Style Amazing Race, did a talent show (Elayna, Eliza, Talia and I sang "Teach Me to Walk in the Light"), played a LOT of games (of course,) learned about our ancestors, and spent a day boating and playing at the beach.

It was an incredible week, and we finished the trip by visiting the City Creek Mall in Salt Lake, walking through Temple Square, sitting in front of the Christus and swimming at the hotel. On Saturday, we dropped Elayna off at the airport and started the long drive home.

On Sunday, Dallin's parents drove Kylie and I halfway to Portland where we met Dallin. WOOT WOOT!!!! It was so great to see him again, and to get to sleep in my own bed, in a separate room from Kylie. haha!

To finish off the month we picked LOTS of berries (blueberries for $1/lb!!, free blackberries from the side of the road... etc.) to freeze and make into jam... and to just eat by the handful. :)

Dallin and I also ran in the Intel 10K on July 31st. :) It was really fun. We had some friends watch Kylie while we ran.

Just a little Zumba to warm-up before the run :)

I ran in 54 minutes and Dallin came in right around 1:02. I got second place in my age division and got a silver medal! woohoo! There were around 4000 runners between the 10K and the 5K so it was a little crazy, but we both enjoyed it (well at least I think Dallin enjoyed it...)

Stay tuned for all the fun adventures August will bring!! :)
