October!!!

I love October.

Maybe it's decorating for Halloween,

maybe it's all the beautiful fall colors/leaves,

maybe it's wearing sweatshirts and snuggling with the hubbs,

maybe it's general conference,

maybe it's dressing up for Halloween and eating way too much candy....

but probably because it's my birthday month. :)
(don't get me wrong... I do love ALL those other things too)
(Just a little excited.)

Bumps, Cuteness, Conference and Pumpkin Patches.

Kylie got a pretty nice bump on her head from whacking her head on a shelf... here's to many more! eek.

I loved Kylie's outfit the other day... and I'm afraid Kylie's big Hague head won't fit through the shirt much longer... so I had to take some pictures.

We loved watching the Saturday morning session of LDS General Conference. Kylie enjoyed herself also.

Dallin won tickets from Intel to a pumpkin patch... the Plumper Pumpkin Patch.

Kylie wasn't a fan of the sun in her eyes... but I think she still enjoyed herself.

She tried SO hard to pick up the big pumpkins...

we finally found one more her size. :)

Dallin loved the pumpkin cannon... even if he missed the target (a truck) and shot his pumpkin over the hill... almost hitting a house! haha.

We had a great time.

The friendlies :)
Added bonus: 3 pie pumpkins and 3 large carving pumpkins for $6.50 :)

The Pianist and The Selfie

It hit me the other day... it's no wonder Kylie loves to play the piano... she's been involuntarily  lovingly surrounded by pianos her whole life!

Every single major toy has some sort of piano... oh well.

Guess our plan worked. :)

Sorry for the long video... it's just so entertaining. Especially when she stops to look at her hand 5 seconds in...

And Kylie has learned the art of the selfie... she would push the camera away for me to take a picture, point to the camera to see the picture, and then push the camera away for another... and she would smile for every one. I loved it. Please forgive my nastiness... I was super sick... aka. no shower or getting ready at all for that matter. :)

she finally figured out the "crazy pose" idea

Mom's Birthday Weekend

My mom and little brother came into town Thursday and stayed until Sunday. It was mom's birthday on the 30th, so she decided it was a good excuse to come visit. :) We played some games, had LOTS of laughs, mom and I got to go to the Relief Society Broadcast together (totally incredible, and extra special to have mom there,) we also enjoyed Krispy Kreme, and Five Guys and spent a day in downtown Portland.  It poured the whole time, but we still had a blast!

Thanks for coming to visit mom and trevor!!!! We love having family so close. :)

And here's the only picture we got from the whole weekend... lame, I know. But at least it's a good one.

Just chillin in mom's jacket to keep dry. :)

Other news....

Just to finish off the recap (there are 5 new posts starting with Kylie's B-day if you want to go back and see them...), here are a few more things that have been keeping us busy.

Dallin was in charge of a ward BBQ.. I thought it turned out awesome! We were nervous that the rain would scare people away... but we're all die-hard Oregonians here (lol!)... a little downpour isn't gonna stop us! We had a great turn out.

Just a friendly game of tug-o-war. There was also a bike parade, obstacle course, pie contest, disc golf (of course,) volleyball and kickball.

We got our third "child" this month (just in case you're confused, Kylie is #1, and the baby grand is #2) We bought a Vitamix. And are seriously in heaven. Soups, shakes, and smoothies galore. We use it at least once a day. It was worth the splurge. :)

We had a big couponing trip, we paid $26 for $150 worth of stuff, and were given $15 to spend on our next outing. We've still got it. lol!

Lastly, our garage door totally busted the Sunday before Memorial Day. Kylie and I were coming home after a walk, and I went to close the garage and all of a sudden it sounded like our whole house was breaking apart. It bent in like a thousand places and wouldn't close...

and then since Monday was a holiday we had to go a few days with it open and unusable. It was a little bit of a headache... and we were late to church because of it. But we got it fixed. YAY!
