Train Ride

Kylie and I took the train to the Tri-Cities to visit my parents and Trevor for a few days.

She did so awesome on the train. I would say it beats being restrained in a car seat. :) We played, ate snacks, and watched Tangled.

Kylie's "say cheese" face.

Mom ran up to the train to meet us. And it was nonstop activity from then on.

We went swimming at dad's work pool.

Watched Trevor run in a track meet. (There was also a CRAZY hail/rain storm in the middle of Trevor's 1 mile race... poor kids. I would have stopped running. ha.)

Someone sees a plane!
Here comes the rain...
take cover!
and then back to beautiful weather and playing with rocks. :)

We played (aka buckled and unbuckled her high chair) with Great Grandma Miskho.

Made lego towers.

And I even got in a quick temple session. YAY!

We had such a great time.

Garage Makeover

We are very quickly running out of storage in our wonderful home... so we had to come up with a solution.

And it totally worked. Now most of the closets in the house are empty/semi-empty and ready to be filled again. woohoo!

The cheering section!
We built 3 shelves, lag bolted them to the wall/ceiling, and then painted them. Thanks Kevin for the help!!

Total cost for all 3 shelves: $90. AWESOME.
And then we thought "what the heck, why not just finish it off" So we bought stuff for Dallin's pegboard-workstation and bought some pulleys to hang the bikes from the ceiling.

 And VOILA! Garage complete.

St. Patty's Day

I know this is super late. But let's be honest... I'm always playing the catch-up game. :)

We don't do much to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

But we do wear green and eat a "green" dinner.

YAY for fun family traditions. :)

Craziness at the Coast

On Thursday (March 13th,) we packed up our car and headed to Rockaway Beach. We spent the next few days partying with some of our great friends the Youngs, Parkers and the Hancocks. We all stayed in the same beach house, which was crazy and totally awesome.

I can't even imagine having that many mouths to feed... I think I'll stick to my family of 3 for now. haha.

I'm too lazy to describe everything we did... so here is a classy bulleted list for ya. :)
  • Running on the beach with all the moms
  • Getting teased for making grilled tilapia and broccoli on a vacation... ;)
  • Playing frisbee
  • Eating homemade pizza and a salad bar
  • Snarfing down Danielle's cinnamon roll cake and smore's bars
  • Playing games until after 1 am
  • Talking and dancing
Kylie loved dancing with Jenae
  • Playing on the beach/in the sand/in the water
She was so excited to be at the ocean... and once again the cold didn't affect her at all.
  • Eating a Lumberjack Breakfast: pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, &  chocolate milk (thanks Darrin!)
  • Taking a family walk on the beach
  • Playing bocce ball... and almost losing them into the ocean
  • Watching lots of tv (Kylie loved watching with the big kids)
  • Building with Legos
  • Climbing the spiral staircase
  • And a lot more talking and laughing.
We had such a great time! Thanks for inviting us guys!! :)

Thanks Danielle for the picture!!
