This week was pretty adventurous!!! With the big day slowly approaching we're thinking more and more about the wedding plans. This week we pretty much decided that we were going to do cupcakes at the reception. Well... we're anything but a normal couple, so we figured we needed to have anything but normal cupcakes. So, with that in mind we set off to make the most amazing cupcake creations ever!!! Actually... what we did really isn't all that original, but it was still a lot of fun to make the cupcakes and see how everything turned out. Here's a few pcitures of some of our creations. We're interested to know what you think!

Time for photos!!!
One thing Cassie and I have noticed that we're lacking and vowed to better about is taking pictures of the things we do. From the past 7 months of dating, all the pictures that we have are on the little slideshow on this blog. Pathetic huh? Well, we're going to do better now! We're taking pictures of everything that we can... Without getting too out of hand, of course. So, lately Cassie has really been craving french toast, and I just happened to have the stuff at my place, so for lunch we decided to go ahead and have some french toast and orange julius. Later in the afternoon we went to the temple together for the first time. It was a wonderful experience going together and doing baptisms for the dead. I was able to baptize and confirm Cassie, which was actually the first time I've ever done that! It was great to be in the temple together and do the work of the Lord. We have kind of an impossible but fun goal. We want to get pictures of us in front of every temple there is. That'll be difficult, but it will be cool to get pictures of us in front of as many temple as possible... 1 down, 151 to go!

Birthday in Salt Lake
Last weekend was my birthday, and to celebrate we ditched the Provo joint and headed out on the town!!! The day started somewhat early (at least for a saturday). By 9:30 we were on the road picking everyone up so we could get to the olympic oval in Curns. A bunch of us signed up to do an Olympic winter sports thing where we learned how to curl, ice skate, speed skate, and play ice hockey.
Curling was so much fun! The whole concept of curling isn't that difficult, but actually scoring is a lot harder than it looks. It was really fun trying to get those darn stones in the target! We all got a chance to throw the stones. Cassie's first time was amazing. She started sliding and got about ten feet out, and then completely lost her balance and did the splits on the ice. Hahaha!!! We all got a good laugh out of that, but she was able to redeem herself later and got a good throw in. I of course, was perfect in everything... *COUGH*... The darn stones just weren't good enough for my skill level, so they wouldn't go in the target. After curling we began the ice hockey part of the day. That was also a lot of fun! Though it was a little more complicated than curling, we all got the hang of it (somewhat) and were able to have some more fun on the ice. After hockey we were sitting down taking off our skates and one of Cassie's skates fell down right on her bare toe! Ouch! It's super bruised now, and she wasn't about to put skates back on after that happened, so we sat out for a little while and turned into the official photographers. It was still a lot of fun just watching everyone else try and show their stuff on the ice during the figure skating part. We decided to go ahead and try the speed skating part, but that wasn't the best idea. Those speed skates are horrible!! They have absolutely no give at all, and after putting them on I only lasted about a minute before I had to take them off again. It was not cool... While the whole skating thing didn't end on the best note, we still had a lot of fun playing around for a few hours.
After playing on the ice we headed over to the Gateway Mall in Salt Lake. Anthony and James had to head to Burley to pick up Anthony's new car, so we opted to stay at the mall for a while instead of going all the way to Burley... Turns out that "while" was about 6 hours... Now, me being a guy, I wasn't exactly ecstatic to know that I was going to be in a shopping mall for 6 hours straight, but it turned out that it wasn't to bad. I think we hit about every store possible at the mall (at least all the ones with clothing), but we also relaxed some. We stopped by the Love Sac store. That place was awesome!! I'm totally up for getting one of those things for the apartment/house. Whatever we happen to be living in by the time we have enough money to afford one of those. Lol! While at the mall Cassie treated me to dinner at a restaurant called Z Tejas. It was a really good southwestern grill. Cassie had some enchiladas and I had an amazing stuffed pork tenderloin. Dinner was great! After dinner we stopped by a cool little self-serve soft serve ice cream shop and by then Anthony was back so we headed home.
We had a great time spending the day with each other and are looking forward to many more :) Thanks for the wonderful birthday gift Cassie!!!
