8 months.

Where has the time gone?! How is our baby already 2/3 of a year old?!

Kylie is learning and doing new things every day. It's pretty fun.

She can now:
  • wave
  • high five
  • give kisses

  • turn book pages
  • play on the computer
  • pick up things with her thumb and pointer finger. Fine motor skills!!
  • blow raspberries
  • pull herself to standing, stand, and take steps along the ottoman
gotta love the heart-bum jeans
  • army crawl-- anything for food!
She thought it was too hard...
but she did it!!!
  • sit in a highchair
  • fake cough (she knows it gets our attention... it's adorable)
  • roll to anything she wants
  • scrunch her nose

  • smile, laugh, and talk (I think she tries to sing with Dallin and I as well.)
  • say "mama"
  • write letters to Uncle Branden :)

  • stick out her tongue

  • sit in time-out
Just kidding... she doesn't have time-outs (yet).. she just likes to play with the door stop :)
Kylie is still very petite... weighing in at 12 lbs. 1 oz (she's not on the growth chart anymore...) But she's strong and slowly gaining weight (not losing) so the doctors aren't worried.

She loves to eat, so that's definitely not the problem. haha!

Foods on Kylie's menu: banana, peas, avocado, sweet potato (the fav), grapefruit, carrots, pear, strawberries, apple, acorn squash, clementines (another favorite,) grapes, mum mums, puffs, kix and cheerios.

And to wrap it up... here's a picture dump. ENJOY!!!!

look at those cute teeth!
Dallin's favorite picture.
Apparently Dad is a crazy driver because she wouldn't let go :)
There's that beautiful Hague smile
We sure do love you Kylie Maddison!!

Spring Break with the Fam.

Danielle, Trevor and my mom came to Oregon for the kids' Spring Break.

We had a grand time! We played games, talked and talked, went shopping, played with Kylie,

the tongue :)
played frisbee, made elephant ears, went running, and enjoyed crepes in downtown Portland.

We also spent a day at the zoo. It was pretty rainy, but it turned out perfect because all the animals were up and moving and there were so few people that we felt like we had the zoo to ourselves (the only pictures I got from the whole week are from the zoo... my apologies.)

Kylie... obviously thrilled.
Go Cougs!!
Grandma workin' those umbrellas!
"pondering life"
Brand new baby elephant!
Kylie's favorite part of the zoo was Grandma's poncho... but she did watch a lot of the animals walking around
It was totally awesome to watch the lions play ... they have some serious strength.

Everyone piled into the front room at night, it was a little squished, but they were good sports (we can't wait until they come visit at our new house and have a real room for them to stay in!!)

Thanks for such a wonderful time!! We love having you come visit! And a special thanks to mom for all the cleaning, and cooking that you did while you were here! I will learn to take care of Kylie and clean at the same time... some day.
