Seattle

We took a last minute trip to Seattle to see Dallin's sister Audrey and her husband Jon before they move far away from us. Grandma and Grandpa Hague and the Moody's were also there for the trip.

We drove up on Friday afternoon, went to a Mariners Game, played with the cousins, Dallin and I went and grabbed a quick dinner since we are too cheap to eat a full meal at the stadium, and then went to bed. (although Kylie didn't fall asleep until around midnight because she was so wired from all the food she ate at the game and from playing with Grandma and the cousins. lol)

The view from our seats
We could zoom in with our camera and watch Kylie with the family in their special seats.
She was stealing all of grandpa's popcorn

On Saturday, we had breakfast at the hotel and then headed to the Woodland Park Zoo. Everyone had a blast, and it was a cooler day so a lot of the animals were out and active. We finished the trip with a family dinner at Azteca. I sure do love Mexican food. :)

It was a quick trip, but we loved seeing everyone and were glad we were able to visit Jon and Audge before they move away.

Berries!!!!

It is strawberry time in Oregon! WOOHOO! We missed the strawberries last year, so we have been waiting ALL YEAR for June to come around.

We had both of our families come to pick berries with us. We loved having them here!

The Hague family came first. Dallin's parents and the Moody's drove down. We swam at their hotel pool, picked berries, ate donuts on National Donut Day, ate at Panera, and went shopping at the Woodburn Outlets while they were here.

Eliza is such a good big cousin. And Kylie adores her.

Then the Heath grandparents made the trek down from Kennewick a few days later. They only stayed overnight so we didn't get as much time with them, but we did as much as we could. Kylie showed them how she loves to be wrapped up like a burrito in blankets/mattress pads, etc., and we went to a really yummy Diner for lunch after picking berries.

hello goat.
Kylie liked decorating the wagon with flowers
It started POURING while we were picking... so mom made herself a little fort.
The cutest burrito you ever did see.
Between the two trips we picked 27 pounds of strawberries, made 4 batches of freezer jam, and froze 3.5 gallon bags full of berries for smoothies.

Hope everyone enjoys their strawberry jam!!!

Races and Malificent

Dallin and I have run in two races recently. We did a 5K on May 21st and another one on June 4th. Both races were put on by Intel. The race in May was super low key, on a nice pathway at a nearby park. The second race was much more intense. But both were really fun! We had lots of friends running with us at each race, had yummy food, and were accompanied by our sweet little running buddy who says "Set, go!" if you ever stop running. :) Dallin was a saint and ran with the jogging stroller for each race, even though he hates it. He sure loves me!

Here's a few pictures from the second race. I didn't get any from the first one. :)

Pre-race snacks
Still snacking as we walk to the starting line...

After the race! :)
Dallin and I went to see Malificent and brought Kylie this hat. She loves it and wears it all around the house. What a cutie.
