Couponing!

Cassie and I are attempting couponing.  At first it was kind of a nuisance because we felt like we had all these coupons but couldn't use any of them or we weren't really able to get the things we want.  But we've been keeping an eye out and have had our first couple of "couponing" trips to the store.  Here are our small success stories :)

Trip 1:
Albertson's
2 - 4 lb bags of sugar
14 - Tillamook Yogurts
20 - Fuze

Retail Value: $53.08
Paid: $18.46
Total Savings: 65%

Trip 2:
Albertson's (on a different day)
4 - General Mills Cereals
2 - Colgate Total Advanced Toothpastes
3 - Suave Women's Deodorant

Retail Value: $29.51
Paid: $5.61
Total Savings: 81%

We also got a coupon for a free gallon of milk after buying the cereal.

I just had to include this picture.  Check out the front receipt.  In this transaction we bought the 3 deodorants.  We only paid $0.09!!!  That's only three cents per stick!  Awesome!!!!  We still have plenty to learn about this stuff but we are pretty pumped after seeing what we've already been able to save on.

3/21

Yesterday was World Down Syndrome Day.

And I just have to give a shout out to a few of my very best friends. (better late than never...)

They have changed my life and I am so blessed to know them. They love unconditionally, write friendly notes, call just to tell ya they love you, and make life a little brighter.

Princess Sarah!!

"You my best friend."

Joanna... we will forever be bestest buds!

I love spending time with you each week. You are the best person I could imagine sharing my birth day with. :)

I love these girls!

Luck of the Irish

We obviously do NOT have the luck of the Irish (aka. late to church, broke the butter dish, clogged up the disposal...etc)

But we still had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day!!

We all wore green.

And dined on green foods all day. :)

No... that isn't moldy bread, it's green butter. :)
(Green) White Chocolate Popcorn with sprinkles. SO YUMMY!

I love family traditions (thank you mom for teaching me your "green food making" ways)

Loads of Laughs

The other day I was trying to put Kylie down for her afternoon nap....
but she really didn't want to sleep...
So...
we started a tickle fest.

AND...
Dallin decided to sneak up on us and record it... :)

Birthday Boy!

Dallin turned 25 on February 28th!!!

We didn't do too much on his ACTUAL birthday. He opened a few gifts, we ate dinner, ate homemade Samoas for dessert and packed for our trip home (where the real party began!)

On Friday, Dallin worked a halfday and then we drove to Kennewick for the weekend. We started the weekend off right by going to a session at the Columbia River Temple.

My uncle and aunt went through the temple for their first time, it was so wonderful to be there with them. Thanks for letting us join you on such a special day! We enjoyed Dairy Queen Blizzards afterwards, thanks Dad! (we didn't take ANY pictures!... so I'll insert a few random pictures of the cuteness.)

Saturday we slept in (thanks Grandma Hague for watching Kylie!!!,) played tennis, went to Costco to get Dallin his new phone, and then joined the Heath/Mishko clan for a party. We had an amazing dinner; grilled steaks and mashed potatoes (and a lot of other delicious sides.) And red velvet cupcakes for dessert. We finished the night off with a game of Ticket to Ride with Dallin's parents. AND I FINALLY WON! It was a good game. :)

On Sunday we went to church with the Heath family, said our goodbyes and then headed back to the Hague home. Everyone was there waiting for the birthday boy to arrive!

Dallin's mom made her famous chicken and rice, and we had a fantastic time playing with the grandkids and catching up. Talia and Lori even got to feed Kylie. :)

Kylie was showing off her polite manners to everyone.

Dallin had an oreo cake for dessert, and boy was it TASTY!!

We LOVE living so close to family and being able to come home for the weekend!

Thank you everyone for making Dallin feel so loved.

We sure do like him a lot. :)
