Aquarium, Tropical Toes and Water Golfing

The last few days have been quite an adventure.

We're trying to get ready for our cruise (we leave Friday morning!!! woohoo!) so things are a little crazy at the Hague residence.

Kylie's ready!!

I painted my toes for our trip...

They may be a little out there... but I like them. :)

We did take a break and took a trip to the Portland Aquarium. It was actually a lot better than I had expected. haha. And Kylie LOVED it, which made it worth every penny. :)

They had lots of fish, and quite a few interactive places where you can touch the animals.

Kylie was all for touching the sting rays... I however was a little hesitant. haha. And the sharks in the tank freaked me out.

We also got to hang out with the parakeets.

Kylie wasn't so sure about this little guy eating her hair tie.

Photo opp in a half-boat. Gotta love it.

We finished off our excursion with dinner at Outback. I sure do love me some steak!

AND...This is how you will find Kylie 99% of the time.

She wants to be right by my side and helping with everything. Which lately has included sweeping, making lunch, doing dishes, cleaning mom's face and laundry.

Oh and picking out books of course. I moved the board books down to where she can reach them... and we now read about 1000 books a day. haha!

Can't really get away without doing her hair anymore... it's too long!
she insisted on wearing her church shoes with her jammies... and then "posed." ha!
Dallin had a "quarterly" at work. So his team went and had a fun game day at a Family Fun Center. He had a total blast! And was super excited to show me the pictures of them mini golfing in pools of water, and to tell me about how Darrin "soaked" him during a go kart race. I'm glad he's able to do these fun things to break up the tedious-ness of sitting at a computer every day.

Now if we can only make it through the next few days and the flight to Orlando!

FINALLY!

We got Kylie a crib.

Well we bought the crib over a month ago... but then lost a part... and just barely got around to buying a new part.

Anywho... she no longer has to sleep in the pack n play.

She was such a big helper when we put the crib together.

She totally did this pose on purpose... don't mind how horrible I look... yikes.
I can't get enough of her hair. Alfalfa anyone?!

And here's a few crafts I have been working on during Kylie's naps lately. :)

not too shabby for $.80 cups, craft paint, painters tape and an exacto knife.
Book lovers... avert your eyes. It wasn't a classic.. don't worry. :)

A Sweet Find and a Not So Sweet Fall

I kind of missed the after Halloween shopping, but last night I decided to swing by Target and see if there was anything left...

there were a few goods. at 90% off!! $7.50 for all of this?! not bad my friends.

My favorite is the ghost cake pan. haha!

And today... my poor sweet baby girl fell down some stairs. :(

I was putting away a few things in the garage and thought I had closed the door, but obviously I hadn't because sweet Kylie decided to come into the garage to help me... and fell cartwheeled down the stairs (we've been working on going up/down stairs... she hasn't quite grasped the down aspect...) I caught her after the first 2 stairs, and am SO glad she didn't hit the cement, but she still got a nice bruise.

We made everything better by watching the Croods and eating brownies.

Don't worry she's fine. She's a tough little one.

Very Belated Birthday and our big helper

Dallin and I threw a party this past weekend. It was actually to celebrate my birthday... but I kinda forgot about that until people started handing me gifts. haha!

We had dinner, icecream cake, cake pops, and played lots of minute to win it games. It was so fun to watch! And I had a total blast!

Witches Ka-Broom

Just Ben punching a kid.... haha! Not really... just TOTALLY looks like it
Mary doing some serious dodging...
 Creepy Pantyhose Knock Down

And the kiddos take a turn...

 Face the Spider Cookie

Watch out Scott... it's gonna getcha!

Thanks everyone for coming and making me feel loved. We will definitely be doing this again!

And here's our cute little munchkin with her first pony tails!! Can't. handle. it!!!

She is such a big helper these days, helping Daddy play piano, and helping mom put away Halloween decorations. :)
