5 Months

Kylie turned 5 months old on January 13th. Where has the time gone?

She now rolls over from her front to back like a pro, and is working on rolling from her back to her front.

She laughs and talks ALL the time. It's so adorable.

This is what I come into after every one of Kylie's naps... peek-a-boo!

We are working on her sitting, but she would rather stand.

She is obsessed with eating her fingers and feet.

We've started feeding Kylie rice cereal. She had been grabbing and staring at our food so we decided it was time. She loves to help bring the spoon to her mouth. She also has mastered holding her bottle.

and Lastly, Kylie has FINALLY grown out of newborn clothes!! She still wears size one diapers, and 3-6 month clothes are HUGE on her. But at least she has moved on to 0-3 month sizes!!

3-6 month pants... we'll get there. :)

We love you baby girl!

New Beginnings for a New Year

Dallin started his REAL LIFE job on January 7th. He is a design engineer at Intel. And he is loving it.

Our two bedroom apartment here in Hillsboro is amazing. Mom Heath came down to help us move in and get settled. All of our stuff is pretty much put away... we just need to hang a few decorations and then it will really feel like home. (once that is done I will post a few pictures.)

Dallin took this picture on our first day here... he calls it "clock on the wall"
We are trying to get used to winter weather here. It's wet and rainy, no snow, but plenty of fog and frost. It's actually kind of nice to be able to go walk outside in just a jacket... but I must admit I miss the snow that accompanied living in Utah.

Dallin and I also made a goal to eat healthier and start exercising every day. We are training for a half marathon on Memorial day which is great motivation.

Dallin surprised me with a candlelit dinner. It was amazing.
We love it here and can't wait for all the excitement this year will bring.

New Years at Cocolalla

We spent New Years at the cabin with Dallin's family. We missed Elayna and Mitch!! But we glad to see Elayna later in the week. :)

We had a blast at the cabin. Dallin got to go night skiing with Audrey, Jon, Lori and Darran. He loved it! Maybe I can join him next time. :)

We went sledding as much as possible. And even built a few runs that went over the rock retaining wall.

Kylie even joined us outside a few times.

She makes the most adorable snow angel.

While at the cabin we had a few awesome dance parties,

decorated,

played games,

slept through watched football,

ate delicious food,
and just enjoyed being together in the beauty of the wintery mountains.

It was a little bit of an adventure getting on the road when it was time to drive home...I said many silent prayers as our jeep was slipping backwards down the hill while trying to tow Andy and Julie's car. Luckily everyone and their cars survived.

We love Cocolalla and can't wait to spend more time there this summer!!

Christmas Celebrations!!

Thursday the 20th we attended Danielle's voice recital. She did a great job singing Oh Holy Night.

Afterward, the family went and watched the Senske lights (lights that are set to music.) Kylie was really entertained for about 3 minutes. :)

December 21st-22nd we went on our annual Leavenworth trip. GOTTA LOVE IT!

The lights are beautiful as ever! Kylie was such a sport and slept most of the day.
We met Santa on the sledding hill,

warmed up in the lodge,

went to the hat shop (and many other shops,)

bought our ornaments at Kris Kringle

and then headed home.

We celebrated Christmas eve with the Heath's.

This is the sign we made for Branden. Skyping didn't work, so we took a picture of the sign. :)
We played games, made caramel apples, read the Nativity Story, Dallin fixed the Christmas tree, opened new pajamas, left cookies for Santa and headed to bed.

Christmas morning was wonderful!
We started at the Heath home,

then headed to brunch with the Hagues.

While we were at brunch it started snowing!!
WE GOT OUR WHITE CHRISTMAS!

After opening gifts with Dallin's family we headed back to the Heath home to talk to Branden! It was so awesome to hear his voice (he has a great accent) and his stories. Kylie was so cute listening to his voice, she was holding the phone and wouldn't move.

We got her to laugh for him. Branden loved it! I can't wait for them to meet each other in less than 8 months! We had Christmas dinner at Grandma Miskho's house with all the family.

It was a busy Christmas, but we loved every minute of it. And it was so fun to have Christmas with our little princess.

Kylie is working on her kisses...
...a little better. :)
