June Happenings

It's berry season in Oregon!! WOOHOO! We've been out picking berries quite a few times. I picked 20 pounds of strawberries for jam and freezing for smoothies. And we've gone out picking blueberries multiple times. We were even able to go out with Grandma and Grandpa Hague while they were in town and get them a bunch of delicious berries. Raspberries and black berries are next on the list...

We had our first end of the year piano recital!! All of our students did fabulous playing their piano pieces, even Kylie!! We've had so much fun teaching piano this year and watching everyone learn and progress! Can't wait to see what next year brings!

It's been quite the month for our sweet little Kylie. Up until this month, neither of our girls have had any major injuries or sickness... but it hit pretty strong this month. It all started when Kylie was on a daddy-daughter date with Dallin. They went to play disc golf, and after the first throw, Kylie ran down a hill to get the frisbee and tripped right into the sidewalk. Splitting her head open. We visited the urgent care and got her head glued back together. Then we went to the dentist to find out she had 2 little cavities. So after 2 more appointments (she honestly did quite awesome and was totally brave,) her teeth are fixed and she is much more willing to let me floss and brush her teeth. :) And then on top of those two things, Kylie got her first ear infection (which had a minor case of pink eye accompany it.) I am ready for this bout of injury to end...

Our good friend Jana had a picnic for work, but didn't want to go alone. So she invited the girls and I. Even though it was raining buckets, we still had a great time. The girls ran in a race, we got new toys, we had great snacks, and Kylie got to do a pinata. They don't mind the rain at all... I was just worried about them freezing since I had neglected to bring jackets thinking it wasn't actually going to rain. ha!

Nothing like a luau in the rain. :)

Dallin's cousin Darel Ayn got married on the 24th. We were so excited when we heard she chose to be sealed in the Portland temple because it meant that we could be there! The sealing was wonderful. And it was so good to see all of the family that was in town!!

After the temple, we changed and rested at the hotel  and then we headed to a luncheon at Darcee and Brent's house. They had hired a food truck to do the lunch and dessert. It was such a fun idea and SO good! What a great day celebrating such a fabulous couple.

We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on the 26th. How has it been 6 years already?! Time flies when you're having fun!! At the beginning on the month we went out to a really delicious dinner at Portland Grill. It's a steak house on the 30th floor of a building in downtown Portland. Such awesome views, and such incredible food. On our actual anniversary weekend we went to see Finding Dory with Kylie, played with the girls, played lots of piano together, ate delicious Berry Cream Pie, and went to PF Changs for another dinner out together. I am so lucky to have Dallin as my eternal companion and best friend. I couldn't ask for better.

Our view at dinner on the 30th floor.

Baby brother is getting nice and big and constantly kicking me int he bladder and ribs at the same time... and loves to wake up around 1 am and keep me from sleeping. yay!

I think this was around 31 weeks...
Stick out that belly!
Kylie loves playing with Dallin's hair. I can't get her to play with mine anymore which is totally lame...

And lately McKenna LOVES to talk on the phone and to use Dallin's headphones and pretend like she is "working" just like daddy. She also loves to put on clothes. No matter who's or what it is.

And a little bit more cuteness.

She loves Goldfish as much as her daddy. On this day he had to get her her own bowl because he was tired of her eating all of his stash. ha!
One of Kylie's favorite books...
Definitely not as neat and clean as her sister...
At least she washes herself off afterward...
