Anniversary!!

Happy 3 years to Dallin and I!!!

This last year has been quite a wild ride... I don't know if we will be able to top it anytime soon.

This year we:
Had our first baby.
Graduated from college.
Moved for the 5th, 6th and 7th times.
Bought a house.
Got a real job.

Yeah... it was a pretty good year for us. :)

Dallin's parents made a quick trip to Hillsboro to watch Kylie while Dallin and I got away for a little while. On Friday night Dallin took me out to dinner at the Orenco Station Grill. It was awesome. I had the most delicious vanilla bean creme brulee for dessert. (I'm starting to salivate just thinking about it... haha!) After dinner we drove out to a nearby bed and breakfast. We stayed at the Scholls Valley Lodge.

We were the ONLY couple there so we had the whole lodge to ourselves. It was seriously awesome.

We even ate cookies on one of the balconies while we did some star gazing... I haven't been able to really see the stars in a long time!

The next morning we were served breakfast outside. It was gorgeous. And the breakfast was delicious. Quiche, yogurt, croissants, fresh berries and fresh juice.

After breakfast we went on walk around the lodge grounds.

I made Dallin carry me through the tall weeds...major fear of snakes people!
We encountered lots of wildlife. Including falcons that were circling and screaming at us, and a cow who's pasture we had to walk through to get to the trail (I was a little nervous with her staring us down...)

We finished off our weekend getaway by watching Monsters University. Dallin and I both really enjoyed it!

We spent the rest of the day hanging out with Dallin's parents. Kylie was a perfect angel for them, which made getting away a lot easier than I thought it would be. Thanks Mom and Dad for driving down to watch Kylie we really appreciate it!!

Since our actual anniversary was this last Wednesday, we decided to go on one more date. So we went bowling with some friends and got Wendy's frostys afterward. Low-key... but just the way we like it.

Ten Months?!

Holy Moly. I am less than 2 months away from having a one-year old... when did that happen!?

this is the little munchkin trying to kick me out of bed...
Kylie is growing and learning new things every day; and keeping us laughing and smiling... she's become quite a little tease/comedian. lol. She likes to pretend to share her food with us... but as soon as it's close to our mouths, she'll pull it away and eat it herself. Or she pushes our faces away when we ask for kisses, or push our hands away when we try and use the computer...

she definitely knows what she wants.

For example... today she really wanted to eat the cheese and couldn't wait for me to cube it for her... so when I turned my back she picked up the block and went at it...

"Mom I'm innocent!"

She is also dancing to everything, for those who haven't seen the video on facebook... here is our little dancer.

She is also standing on her own and taking a few steps. She is finally starting to figure out how to get up on her hands and knees and rock (I honestly thought she was going to skip it...) She still prefers the army crawl since she is wicked fast... but I'm sure once she realizes how much faster crawling is... she'll prefer that... unless she decides to go straight to walking. We'll see. :)

Kylie is still rockin' her 3-6 month clothes, but they are getting a little short. She is probably somewhere between 14-15 pounds, she has 6 teeth with 2 more on the way, she mimicks a lot of the noises/faces we make and says "dada" constantly.

We love our sweet little Kylie and are shocked by how smart and loving she is. You bring us so much happiness baby girl!

this is the face she gives me most of the time... "are you really taking another picture?"

Father's Day

Dallin is the best daddy to our sweet Kylie.

Kylie and Dallin enjoying the sunset :)

Even though she pushes his face away when he tries to kiss her, or fights him when he tries to snuggle... she really does love him to death.

She waves goodbye to him every morning as he rides his bike to work, and gets really excited when she hears the garage door because it means daddy is home.

She loves his piano playing, and his tickles, and when he sings and dances in the kitchen.

She especially loves it when he reads her stories and shares his food with her.

We love you Daddy! Thanks for everything you do for us!

And this picture is just to show off how good Dallin is getting at couponing... we spent $10.50 on this shopping trip. It's pretty stinkin' adorable to see how giddy Dallin gets about shopping these days and I definitely don't mind his help and the money we're saving.

Danielle's Graduation

On June 1st Danielle graduated from High School!! WOOT WOOT!!

We are so glad to be close and be able to make it home for special occasions like this. Unfortunately Kylie was sick with a fever and a rash all weekend so she wasn't very willing to be held by anyone but me and Dallin. But she was a great sport and is still completely adorable.

We helped mom get ready for a crazy graduation party. There was tons of delicious food and some awesome desserts. We prepped food Friday night and set up Saturday morning.

We went to graduation. There were a lot of speeches because there were 2 salutatorians and 12 valedictorians, but they had to keep their speeches under 60 second so it was actually kind of entertaining. Kylie was okay for the first part of graduation but lost it halfway through so Dallin and I took turns walking around outside with her.

After the ceremony it was time to start the party hopping! We had lots of people show up for the party, it was so much fun! All our hard work was worth it!

Great job Danielle! Thanks for giving us a reason to come home and party! :)

gotta love the wind blown hair :)

Half Marathon at the Coast

For Memorial Day weekend my family came to Oregon. They stayed the night at our house on Thursday, and Friday we did some shopping while Dallin was at work and then he headed to Rockaway Beach on the coast. We relaxed, played some games, and enjoyed the beach house.

Saturday was the big day. Dad started running early in the morning (he was doing a full marathon.) I met him halfway and ran the last 13.1 with him. It wasn't an official race, Dad had clocked the 26.2 miles with a view of the ocean and we were just running for the fun of it. It was a beautiful run, and I loved seeing the ocean. I also loved being with dad and talking to him throughout the race, it was also really great to not have to push the jogging stroller. haha! Our average pace was an 8:20 minute mile. Not too shabby considering we were going up and down some serious hills throughout the whole run.

Trevor gave us massages after the run. Awesome.

The rest of the weekend we rested, had fires and s'mores on the beach, walked along the beach, and went to church. There were SO many visitors at sacrament meeting that we had to sit on chairs in the hallway of the church building. It was a new experience. :)

I loved spending time with my family. And I was pretty proud of myself for finishing a half marathon distance. I think I could do a full marathon someday...

And now for some candid photos of everyone. :)
