Last Few Things

On top of everything else that has happened over the last month or so... Here's a few other noteworthy things.

We set a record for the longest drive between Kennewick and Hillsboro. On our way home it took 9 and a half hours! (usually takes 3 to 3.5)All week, as we checked the weather, it showed that the weekend would be clear and beautiful. But of course, Sunday morning hits and we've got snow and freezing rain the whole way home. There were 2 times throughout the drive that we were stopped for over 2 hours!! We turned off the car and got the girls out to help us not GO CRAZY. Kylie thought it was a party. ha. Let's pray that record never gets broken...

Solid sheet of ice
so sick of the car!!
I got a Haircut!!! 15 inches. To be donated.

Everyone loved having the "dead animal" laying around the house. ha!
Thank you Jessica! I love it.
No more binky!! When we got back home from our travels, I decided it was time. I hid the binky, and cut McKenna off cold turkey. Why didn't I do that sooner?!? She cried for maybe 1 minute longer than usual when going to bed for naps and at night, but sleeps WAY more peacefully now. I guess Dallin and I really were more addicted to the pacifier than McKenna was. And now her beautiful smile is no longer blocked by that thing!!

Project!!
The last few months Dallin and I have been working on turning this old entertainment center ($2.99 at Goodwill) into a dresser to hold the girl's dress ups. We had a great time working on it together and are really proud of how it turned out!

After
Kylie loves that she can get to all her princess dresses ALL BY HERSELF.  So big. :)

McKenna is showing interest in walking!! She has walked across the entire bedroom by herself, and gets so excited about it!! Go girl!! Sorry... no photo evidence. :)

We had a New Years Eve party at Mom and Dad's house. It was great! Talent show, food, "fireworks," games, family, and ping pong tournaments.

Leavenworth

I didn't think it was going to happen... but once again we got everyone together again to make our annual trip to Leavenworth.

Branden's driving made McKenna nervous :)

They chopped down quite a few big trees, and made this awesome nutcracker out of one of them.

And this year, there was TONS of snow. It snowed the entire time we were there. Magical.

Snow ball fights.

We also did the usual: ornaments at Kris Kringle, watching the live nativity while drinking hot chocolate, lunch at the Soup Cellar, and visiting the fudge shop, gingerbread house, and Bubblery.

Such a great time!

And to finish it off... here's what we got when we asked Kylie to smile for a picture.

Goof ball. :)
