I is a kolledge gradiate

Well.... we're graduated!!! Or... I am. :) Dallin is super close (he only has one more semester) but they let him walk after some petitioning. Once Dallin finished his last final we headed to Brandt and Liz's house for a BBQ and game playing.

Aren't those boys so cute?! They just can't resist Smash Brothers
It was really nice to be able to have me, Dallin, Elayna and Mitch all graduate at the same time, and I'm sure our parents were thankful to get it all done at once.

My college was rather HUGE...

I felt bad for making the family sit through the whole commencement, especially since they'd already sat through one earlier in the day. Thanks for stickin' it out!!

And thanks daddy for the beautiful lei!!

After a day full of graduations, name-reading, and picture-taking we went to work on the apartment. I had been slowly working on packing, but there was still a lot to do. Thanks to wonderful family and friends we got everything packed, put in the storage or jeep, and then cleaned. What a miracle! I'm absolutely positive that the apartment hadn't been that clean in YEARS.

We are now chillin' in Kennewick. We've been spending time with our families and catching up on sleep. We're still trying to find housing in Hillsboro, but we still have 3 weeks... we should find something right?

Day Date

Due to our cancelled Vegas trip... Dallin and I decided to spend one of the reading days partyin' it up in Salt Lake City.

We started the day with Kneaders unlimited french toast for breakfast. The restaurant was packed, but we were still able to get our fill. Although we did have to wait in line for about 15 minutes waiting for a refill on the french toast...

After breakfast we ran home, showered, packed a lunch and drove to Salt Lake. Once we were in Salt Lake we toured the visitors center and took a few moments to sit and ponder in front of the Christus.

We then attended a session at the Salt Lake Temple. What a gorgeous temple!!

Photos courtesy of Dallin... he's quite the photographer. :)

After the session we walked around temple square a little more, and were pretty much the only people around because it was raining pretty hard. We did see one bride and groom trying to get wedding pictures... I felt so bad for them!

After I was sufficiently froze from walking around, we went back to the car and got our not-church clothes (which were much warmer.) We then toured the new City Creek Center in downtown Salt Lake. It is so beautiful! There are waterfalls, fountains, trees, and even fish! We had a great time going in all the stores (I especially loved looking at all the baby girl clothes in Baby Gap and Gymboree!)

After a few hours of walking around and sight-seeing, we ate our lunch and then headed back to the tabernacle on temple square. On Thursday nights starting at 8pm the Mormon Tabernacle Choir has practice that is open to the public. It was incredible to listen to them! And it was quite entertaining to see the choir director interacting and critiquing/mocking them. We had a grand time!

Dallin and I literally could have stayed all night to listen to them sing, but we were getting a little hungry so around 9:30 we headed out to go get dinner. We ate at our favorite restaurant. The Cheesecake Factory!!

There was a surprisingly large amount of people at the restaurant for that late on a Thursday night, but we only had a 15 minute wait so I can't really complain. :) We got our favorite appetizer, Sweet Corn Tamales.

We also ordered a really delicious entree; some kind of carmel chicken dish. And cheesecake. This time Dallin and I couldn't decide on a flavor we both wanted, so we each got our own.

I picked white chocolate raspberry and Dallin chose chocolate chip cookie dough. I love how they pile on the whipped cream!! OH YES!!!

We got out of the restaurant pretty late, and had forgotten that temple square would be locked, so we had to take quite a nice stroll to get to the car, but who doesn't love a nice romantic walk, with the hubby, at night, by the temple?!

We arrived home pretty late, due to traffic and missing the Provo exit... but it just extended the already perfect day. Thanks Dallin for a wonderful trip! It was way better than Vegas! :)

Endings, Robots and Babies.

As of today, classes are officially OVER! (although Dallin technically finished his classes yesterday....) Only 2 reading days, and a week of finals and Dallin will be free for the summer!! PAR-TAY!!!

We just sold our contract and have started packing up our things- 2 boxes down.... a LOT to go.

Hopefully we will be ready to be out of the house by NEXT WEEKEND! We are still looking for a home in Hillsboro for the summer, but are confident that something will work out. :)

Dallin had his final competition for his senior project today!!! All semester Dallin and his team have been working on programming a robot to be able to play capture the flag.

FYI...their team name was Butterfly Sharpshooters

The robots play the game without any help, all the team has to do is tell the robot to "GO." Each robot/truck has a tower with two lights on top; one light designates what team they are on and the other light shows their status i.e. if they've been hit it turns off, if they have the flag the light is yellow, and if they are actively playing the light is green.

It was pretty entertaining to watch the competition, and is amazing that the robots can figure out what to do all on their own.
Way to go Dallin!!

Even if you're a nerd.... you're a VERY COOL nerd. ;)

And here is me at 22 weeks.

134 days into the pregnancy.... 132 to go!! I have felt out sweet little girl moving and kicking a lot more, which I LOVE every single time! Dallin still isn't able to feel her- but I'm sure that will come soon enough!

And I just had to put up a few pictures of the baby shower announcements I made... I thought they turned out super cute! lol!!

Happy Spring!!!

This morning I woke up to birds chirping, light shining on my face and THIS.

Yup. SNOW!

I would have a hard time believing we were in Provo if we didn't get at least one good snowfall in the month of April. Hopefully it warms up and the snow melts so all the beautiful flowers will survive. :)
