Eight months?!

We were traveling when McKenna turned 7 and then 8 months... So I didn't get any stats for our little munchkin... But I would at least like to write down what she's up to so we can remember later. :)

McKenna has started army crawling, and is super quick. She will get up on her hands and knees and rock. But promptly drops to her belly when she actually wants to get somewhere. She has also started trying to pull up on things and once we help her stand she will cruise along the couch or bed. AH!

McKenna sleeps through the night and takes 3 naps most days. She must be going through a growth spurt.

She LOVES food. She will still eat baby food (anything but green beans...) But would much rather feed herself. Her new finger foods have been... Cheerios, bread, watermelon, peaches, banana, crackers, grapes, popcorn and various cold treats... popsicles, sorbet, Dole pineapple whip. (I KNOW... she's only 8 months but those were mostly while on our trip where it was over 100 degrees and we all desperately needed to cool off.)

She does not like to drink water and spits it all out the instant it touches her lips. But she will take a bottle of milk, when she is in a good mood. :)

She smiles and talks constantly, she has learned to do a super cheesy smile. She is still trying to figure out clapping. And Dallin has taught her to do the touchdown gesture... although we think she thinks it means "give me more food." She is a ham. Kylie loves when McKenna talks, and laughs and mimics her all the time.

McKenna loves the water and the boat. As we quickly learned on our trip. And looks pretty dang adorable in her swimsuit. :)

McKenna has also finally cut her 2 bottom teeth. Took long enough!! No wonder she was grouchy while traveling! I really shouldn't complain, she is a very content baby. :)
