Swimming Lessons

The girls and I made a spur of the moment trip to Kennewick at the end of July. We were wanting to ride the train home on the 24th, but ALL the tickets were sold, so Dallin ended up driving us halfway where we were passed off to my parents.

someone was a little tired after the long drive...
I decided to go to Kennewick specifically so that I could have a few consecutive to teach Kylie how to swim. And oh man! did it pay off!

The first day in the pool started with Kylie being nervous about getting water in her ears or on her face. But by the end of the day she was able to go under and get toys off of the steps.

By the end of the second day, she was able to swim all the way across the shallow end of the pool without anyone helping her. We would walk in front of her in case she needed to stop for a breath.

It was CRAZY how fast she caught on and was completely comfortable in the water. She would walk along the sides, go down the slide (with an inter tube) and jump off the sides of the pool.

It was so worth it to go home! And THANK YOU Grandma for letting us use your beautiful pool!

Here's a few of McKenna's highlights from the trip... eating and playing in Trevor's car. :)
