Heath Family Vacation

After our 3 days of swimming lessons, it was time to pack up and head back to Dallin in Hillsboro. Except this time, my whole family was coming along!! It was time for our Heath family vacation! We decided to keep it low key this year, since my due date was so close, and we just used our house as base camp and would do things that were close to home.

On Friday July 29th, we spent the entire day at the Zoo! It was pretty hot, so the animals weren't too active, but we still had a great time. That night The Piano Guys were performing at the ZOO, and we had tickets, so Dad (superhero!) took the girls home to put them to bed, and Dallin, Trevor, Mom and I stayed for the concert. It was amazing. And we had really great spots! I got stung by a wasp halfway through the concert, which was exciting, People probably thought I was going into labor seeing me go up to the first aid room. lol! When we got back from getting my bite fixed, a kind family offered me a really sweet chair that made watching the rest of the concert even more enjoyable! :)

Our chairs that saved our spot in line. This is how we had such great seats!

On Saturday the 30th, we got to pick up Danielle from the airport!! She had been in Ukraine for 3 months, and Utah for a week, and we were finally going to get to see her! We had balloons, a banner, and lots of hugs waiting for her when she came off the plane. After picking her up, we spent the rest of the day in downtown Portland. We introduced the family to Tilt Burger, walked along the river, and finished the night with Frozen Yogurt.

Sunday, we went to church and then went to the temple grounds. Unfortunately the grounds were closed for maintenance, so we couldn't walk around the temple, and there was a fireside at the Visitor's Center, so there wasn't really room for us in there, but it was still nice to be at the temple and get to look at it!

They really do love each other. :)

Monday, August 1st, we went to Cannon Beach. We thought it was going to be chilly, but the weather was great. We played on the beach, ate pizza, crepes, chocolate and candy, visited the tide pools, and had a great time as a family. We sure do love the beach!

On Tuesday we played around the house, went shopping, played a round of mini golf, went out for donuts at Krispy Kreme (they were making quite a few kinds of donuts at once and Kylie was fascinated!), had a little birthday party for Kylie and Danielle, and then after the girls were in bed, Dallin, Trevor and I went out to the movies.

McKenna had to try out the gifts as well...

On Wednesday, my Dad picked up the Ninja! I used to ride it at my Grandparents house when I was little, but it broke and there just happened to be a shop in Hillsboro that would fix it!! So the girls had a GREAT time riding that around. We also went on a family hike to Jenkins Estate and had a great time exploring and playing on the playground.  That night we had pizza, because no one felt like cooking! lol.

On Thursday, it was time for the family to head back home! The week ended too soon, but it was so good to have everyone here for the week! We sure missed Branden, Kaylee and Charlotte! Maybe next time they can join us!
