Birthday Boy

Dallin turned 27 on February 28th!

We had a weekend full of celebration!!

He got to start his birthday with his favorite activity, basketball! And then he came home and had breakfast with his girls. Then we went out and did some shopping. We got some clothes for Kylie (she is rapidly outgrowing all her pants and shoes,) a few groceries, and a new road bike for Dallin!

That was his main present this year. He's been riding a beautiful pink bike that we bought off Craigslist for $50 while we were in Provo... it was about time for an upgrade. :)

We went out to lunch at Panera. Yay for free birthday treats... even if we had to wait a day to eat them! SO YUMMY!

After shopping we came home, had eggplant parmesan for dinner, sang Happy Birthday, opened presents,

had banana blueberry muffins (we needed something to put a candle in since we couldn't eat sweets.)

Kylie drew Dallin some pictures

and then we finished the night off  by watching Big Hero 6 as a family.

On Sunday, we continued the celebration. It was the end of our family weight loss challenge, and the one day of the week that we could have sweets. So we partied. :)

I made the bread from Outback Steakhouse, our FAVORITE appetizer from the Cheesecake Factory (sweet corn tamale cakes) fruit salad, a green salad, and top sirloin steak.

It may not be as pretty, but it tasted so goooood!
Sweet Corn Tamale Cakes. They tasted exactly like the restaurant.
With homemade blizzards for dessert.

So. Much. Food. And so worth every single calorie.

Then we read books and had some fun family time.

We sure love you Daddy! Thanks for being the best! :)
