Bonding Leave

Dallin had 5 weeks of Bonding Leave left from when Jayce was born. SO we peaced out for some of June and All of July. It was glorious. And SO HARD to let Dallin go back to work in August.

On June 21st, the kids and I drove to Kennewick to start our vacation. Dallin drove up and joined us on the 23rd.

June 24th we had a Heath Family Day. Branden, Kaylee and Charlotte were in town, so we all hung out, ate food, went swimming, had a fire and just enjoyed everyone's company.

June 26th was our 7th Anniversary!! (This gets a post of it's own.)

The whole next week we spent swimming. sleeping, reading and spending time with all the Miskho side of the family that was visiting.

Friends on the disc golf course

July 1st we drove to Cocolalla to join the Hague family for a week at the lake. We had a birthday party for Karisa, watched and set off fireworks, played games, swam in the water, practically lived on the boat, ate lots of oreos and did a lot of talking. It was such a great week!

We returned to Hillsboro on July 12th. The Heath family joined us on the 13th and we all went out to the Coast for our Heath Family Reunion. We stayed at Cape Mears, and it was completely Lovely. There was hardly anyone on the beach, there were amazing tide pools, the mountains kept the breeze away, and we weren't too far from Tillamook so we could go get ice cream whenever we wanted. Dallin and I even got to go on a 9 mile run together along the water/jetty.

The family went back to Kennewick on July 16th.

For the next 2 and a half weeks we relaxed and did whatever we wanted. We went on runs together as a family, went to the zoo, took pictures at the park, went on dates, washed the cars, played in the sprinklers, had picnics, and enjoyed having Dallin home.

What a great summer. :)
