Last Hurrah and Easter

On April 13th, Mom and Danielle drove to Hillsboro for one last visit before Danielle left for the MTC.

On the 14th we went to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival. It was breathtaking as always. And right as we were finishing seeing the flowers and playing on the toys, it decided to rain. A LOT. So we ran to cover and enjoyed elephant ears and cotton candy until the rain died down a little.

On Saturday we went to a group Easter Egg hunt at the park. The girls had a blast! I had fun looking for all the eggs that the kids might have missed. :) Dad and Trevor rode the train and we picked them up at the station after the Easter Egg hunt.

She ran right past all the ones in the grass...

The rest of the day we spent playing outside, enjoying everyone's company, and going to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. (They initially told us it was going to be a 2.5 hour wait, but luckily they split us up, and some of the other bigger parties bailed, so we only waited for maybe an hour. Which was perfect because we were having fun cruising around the mall and playing in the Tesla's that they had on display.) Dinner was incredible, as was the cheesecake.

The family was able to stay for our Easter Program which was a special treat since I had worked and practiced so much on the different songs. It was great to have them get to hear the end result! This year we did something new, and Dallin played the cello during the program. I played the piano, Dallin was on the cello and  an INCREDIBLY talented man in our ward sang. It was pretty amazing, if i do say so myself. ;)

After church we searched for easter baskets, ate candy, took pictures and had Easter dinner with the family before they had to head back home.

This was our best attempt at a family picture...

What a wonderful weekend!
